The education system of University of San Carlos is managed by the Department of Education in the Philippines. It controls the education system not only in the school aforementioned but as well as all other universities, colleges and schools in the Philippines. All the things related to education is controlled by DepEd such as the hiring of teachers, the curriculum, and the consequences of student and teacher misconduct. The education system of USC is already very different compared to the previous years. It has changed because of some implementations made by DepEd in which all schools must follow and adhere to. USC’s education system is great according to some of the feedbacks of people and according to the results of national exams.
Some people think that the education system of USC is good and some think it’s quite difficult and complex. In University of San Carlos, just like other schools, there is an addition of 2 years for Senior Highschool before stepping and entering college. It is a preparatory training for students for the college programs they are going to take and at the same time it gives the students a thinking period of what career path they are going to take. There is little to none problems about the education system in USC. For parents, it is a lot better than other schools for USC provides a good training ground for students and it is a well-known school being called the “Home of Topnotchers” for some schools and departments of the university. The university has high quality of its standards which practices the students in coping up with its standards to be able to meet the level of standards the real world has. If for the parents there is not much of a problem, for students, they have a little to several concerns regarding the education system. One of the factors that is needed and should be considered to call the education system a good and effective system is the teacher. Some students are having a hard time coping up with their teachers because of some concerns like the teacher is not fit to teach the subject given to her and is not competent enough to meet the educational needs of knowledge of a student. This makes it harder for the students because they could not keep themselves motivated by this. I believe in the saying “Quality teachers make up a quality education system.” There are times that teachers tend to be inconsiderate and bombard students with a lot of work to do not realizing that his/her subject is not the only thing that a student is focusing on. Because of so much pressure on the shoulders of the students, they easily get tired or even breakdown with all the school stuff they have to accomplish. In today’s education system, there is always that mindset that you have to pass and never fail because of the standards that should be met. Nevertheless, everything is just a part of the training. The education system of University of San Carlos is good and effective. It has its own advantages making the students of the university knowledgeable in an advanced manner. There may be some lapses in the education system but it remains firm in continuing to build and create the best students.
Education is one thing that a person must have in order to adjust and cope up with this constantly changing world. Every university/school needs to obtain a good technique, structure and foundation of learning and teaching the students. As there’s a saying by Albert Einstein “Education is no the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” which means nothing can measure our learnings through some paper works and the like but it can be evidently measured by how we live in and apply our learnings in our lives. To have a good education system, everyone must work together and as a whole to be able to achieve success for the future of the society.
